Three weeks into using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus - what can I say? As you can see from the pictures there has been no real improvements so far. Aside from controlling the oiliness of my skin, it hasn't done much to improve the texture as promised. I think the radiance I spoke of last week was a result of me finally catching some sunlight. I had an hormonal break out which left me jukeboxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12581385988063073616noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9650838.post-89817357021299873532014-03-16T06:25:00.002-07:002014-03-16T06:25:57.036-07:00La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus (+) - Week 2
End of two weeks on La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus (+ I think the overall health of my skin has improved. Its very hard to explain, but has a nice radiance to it. I have to confess in the first two weeks I was lax about using the product twice a week, mostly due what I said before about the sample size being really small. But, I'm going to try to be more consistent with my usage. jukeboxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12581385988063073616noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9650838.post-9137092812928410582014-03-16T05:27:00.002-07:002014-03-16T07:58:42.174-07:00My Lactic Acid Experience/Thorw Back PostI wrote this last summer and didn't get round to posting. its been living in my draft folder for 10 months now. I feel I should start by saying my acne had reduced naturally over the years from severe to moderate, but I still had the scars from the severe period which is what I really wanted to shift. As i said in my initial thoughts, I found the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus (+) light and easy on my skin. The instruction said to use day and night and this concerned me as I like to use sun protection during the day. But, after applying the Effaclar Duo Plus (+) I found that it vanished easily into my skin and I could easily follow up with my usual SPF moisturizerjukeboxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12581385988063073616noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9650838.post-39316823152962372372014-03-02T08:47:00.001-08:002014-03-02T08:47:16.870-08:00La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo Plus (+) Review - initial thoughts. La Roche Posay was having a competition on their facebook page and I won the opportunity to review La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) over the course of six weeks. I have used La Roche Posay products in the past, and the basic Effaclar Duo (without the 'plus') is a favourite of mine and helped improve my skin considerably. So, when I saw the chance to review this updated version I jumped at it.jukeboxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12581385988063073616noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9650838.post-70011350947986810442013-08-16T11:16:00.000-07:002013-08-16T11:16:18.262-07:00Hair of the day 2

My skin is a lot calmer now. I try to keep the settings as natural as possible - no flash, only sunlight and I'm going to be doing this consistently so I can keep better track of my progress.
I came across another blogger who is also charting her skin care journey. And it took her 7 months to see remarkable improvement.

I look back on it and realise how hard I was on myself. If I had stopped to re-group, I would have realised that my entire skin, not just my face was breaking out. Unlike her, I have yarn braids and whenever I braid my hair I'm always looking for styles different from my boring repertoire. I found that braids and locs act similarly. So, I always copy loc styles whenever I braid my hair.

Matte, long lasting make up is a never ending quest for those of us that suffer with oily and often spot prone skin. Often we fail at this due to using the wrong combination of products. If one has oily skin, putting a creamy primer on and oil moisturiser and expecting your foundation to stay put just because you put some powder on it, is probably not the best planjukeboxhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12581385988063073616noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9650838.post-68227845915823979142011-12-31T09:12:00.000-08:002011-12-31T09:12:32.646-08:00Happy New Year Music Post
My mum used to play this every December leading up to new Year. it is a Christian song asking for God's protection in the new year and praying against sadness, poverty and asking for complete happiness in the new year. I think regardless of your religious inclinations the sentiment is universal.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.

I bought this on a whim while browsing H and M online while shopping for clothes. It was only £3.99 so, I had no expectations. I was really happy when I received it and opened it to reveal the most pigmented shadows £3.99 has ever bought. As you can see in the comparison shots it is no worse than the shadows you get from MAC and Urban Decay.

the date should say '11 not '10. It was a typo and I couldn't be bothered to fix it.
I write the post with a heavy heart and frankly feeling sick and tried. And because of that I have been a bit lax with my picture taking and blogging.

So, I did this on a whim, I was shopping for natural haircare products when I came across a pack of lemon peel powder and I added it to my basket along with Bentonite Clay.
